Refraction of Light Beam - Snell
Law:
Reducing the velocity of light in matter, and reducing its wavelength,
causes refraction of the beam of
light.
While crossing the border between two different materials, the light
changes its direction of propagation according to the Snell
Equation:
You can play with an interactive simulation of Snell's Equation by
clicking on Snell's Equation
Applet.
This simulation can help you see what
happened to light beam when it goes from one medium into another.
After you leaned about Snell's Law, you can practice it
by playing with a game that
uses Snell's Law of refraction, for hitting a target.
To play the game click on Snell's
Game.
