Abstract:
|
Visual Quantum Mechanics was
conceived when we asked ourselves if we could teach quantum mechanics
without the math. Since then the materials have been successfully used
in a wide variety of courses. During this time we have discovered that
physics majors, and even graduate students, can benefit from many of the
materials. This year we have adapted many of the Visual Quantum
Mechanics units and created several new units specifically designed for
junior- and senior-level quantum mechanics courses — rolling the math
back in as appropriate. An overview of these new materials and
information about availability for field testing will be given.
