S&Z Chapter 5 C3, C8
S&Z Chapter 9 C6, C10

In this course we will describe the behavior of physical systems using interactions, conservation laws and energy. We will not use the idea of 'Force' very often. This module focuses on concepts such as momentum, different kinds of energy (kinetic, potential etc.) and the conservation of these quantities during interactions. For many students this will be a review of material previously encountered in other physics courses. If this material is unfamiliar to you please read Chapters 5 and 9 of Spears and Zollman carefully.
